Zorka Ságlová’s work is characterised by an extraordinary variety of formal expression on the one hand and exceptional continuity and coherence, which is based on a systematic re-processing and updating of previously found topics on the other. So that we can fully appreciate this, the exhibition tries to show in selected works their inner coherence based on thorough consideration and broad awareness of the cultural context, as well as openness and receptiveness to all new impulses. The exhibition will mainly present two topics: works based on the author's textile training in the studio of Antonín Kybal at the Academy of Arts and the creation of works inspired by photographs and custom photography, the inspiration of which we will seek, among other things, also in her lifelong cohabitation with the photographer Jan Ságl.
