Born on 1st November 1959 in Prague, he studied there at the Secondary School of Applied Arts . He has been a member of the Association of Czech Graphic Artists HOLLAR since 1999. He specializes in watercolour and graphic art, mainly in drypoint. A sensibility for drawing in all its forms is the common denominator of his output. He captures the world of women and the poetry that permeates it. His prints are recordings of specific moments which show a glimpse of action, situation or a gesture. The elusive character of these moments is even reflected in the titles of his works: For the Last Time, Stepping Aside, Apart, Outside, etc. There is a point in his work where he abandons the face, the individual and moves towards the line and shape which express tension. That is where his work becomes more abstract.
