The public space of Litomyšl will be occupied by the traditional open-air exhibition organized by the town gallery. Five curators – Ondřej Horák, Rostislav Koryčánek, Marie Straková, Žaneta Richterová and Tea Záchová – collaborated with selected artists to highlight the distinctive qualities of the selected urban sites in accordance with their unique memory and history through site-specific installations and performances. The interpretation of the festival theme of passion within the individual curatorial concepts is linked by a shared desire to establish a peaceful dialogue with a specific place, not to intervene in a conflicting way in its integrity. The project revives the general discourse on the topic of incorporating artworks into the urban exterior with an emphasis on urban, aesthetic and ethical aspects.
