His painting is never a description of a real situation, but always brings an inner experience, a personal approach and a psychologizing view of the motif. He depicts the village of Hukvaldy, streams and flowers in an original way. It brings him to the very edge of abstraction. Antonín Kroča brings a new, liberating, expressive way of painting. He paints with his hands in sweeping gestures. He prefers a relaxed handwriting with the use of dense colour. He often deforms the object, but always in such a way as to express the essence and core of what he wants to say. He loves people. A frequent subject is the female nude.
