Míla Fürstová works most often with the etching technique, which she uses in combination with tempera colouring, cutting and collage to achieve fragile spatial images. In her subjects she mirrors her fantasies and memories and portrays them with gentle ease using simple stories and objects. The author’s work has inspired other creative personalities and resulted in interesting collaborations, such as the design of the album cover for Coldplay, an advertisement for Mattoni or the cover of a Miro Zbirka album, among others. Her illustrations of classic Czech literary works such as Babička by B. Němcová, K. J. Erben, or May by K. H. Mácha. Her work has earned her many prestigious awards not only in the Czech Republic, but especially abroad, and her works are already represented in important collections around the world.
