Artist Rudolf Burda returns to Litomyšl after a year to unveil his new sculpture. The sculpture The Path of Life was created on the occasion of the bicentenary of Bedřich Smetana’s birth and bears the unmistakable handwriting of the author. Rudolf Burda gave the new “monument” of the Litomyšl native the shape of a sphere made of highly polished stainless steel material. The clean, minimalist shape of the work is intersected at eye level by a tube of coloured glass, which imprints the sculpture’s matter in a unique way, leaving behind geometric abstract shapes. Their appearance evokes a stream of tones in viewer’s mind. They intertwine and intermingle into a unique “colourful music”.
