8. 6. – 7. 7. 2024
The Triumph-Symphony is the legacy to the world by the jubilant Bedřich Smetana. But figuratively also by his contemporaries from the glassmaking family. The gallery at Milovská hut focuses on their global triumph with thousands of historical exhibits complemented by the work of living and world-famous Czechoslovak studio glassmakers. Visitors will be welcomed by Posluchači/Listeners, an installation by Gisela Šabóková located in the garden whose flowers once inspired glassmakers in Milov. Artificial intelligence provides descriptions of the exhibits, including an interpretive Glaspedia. A mini-cinema offers an engaging documentary about the fascinating story of the Milov glassworks and twenty other Highland glassworks. All of this is accompanied by the music of a local native, Bohuslav Martinů. The gallery is located on the glassmaking trail in the charming meander reserve of the Svratka River.
