Antonín Píč was a reviser and later a registrar of the municipal office in Litomyšl. But work was not his hobby, his life was dominated by the muses. He was an excellent musician and also composed himself. He used to run a theatre with amateur actors, pick up pencils and brushes and sketch or paint in his spare time. It was probably his friendship with Josef Portman that caused him to succumb to collecting ex-libris, so much so that he did not hesitate to correspond with colleagues from all over the world. And while he was collecting, he also occasionally engraved a book mark himself. Last but not least, he devoted himself to Esperanto, in which his son Karel particularly excelled. Discover the quiet world of a man of many interests, who is still unknown in Litomyšl today.

The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue. It presents Píč’s personality and mainly his paintings in oil and watercolour.
