Discover the eroticism of the early 20th century, when titillating photographs, visits to shanties, and the publication of erotic bibliophilias and ex-libris were popular. Josef Váchal and his friends did not stand by and actively participated in the erotic production. Especially Josef Hodek or Emmerich Hruska.
Take a peek into Josef Portman’s bedroom, now an exhibition space, where you’ll discover that local bibliophile Josef Portman also had a collection of unique erotic bibliophilias and ex-libris. Many erotic and pornographic illustrations were made by Jan Konůpek, Toyen, Jindřich Štyrský and other exhibited authors.
The exhibition features exhibits from the Regional Museum in Litomyšl, the Trmal Collection, the National Literature Memorial, the Litomyšl Town Gallery, the Police Museum and private collections. The exhibition is open to adults only.
