The exhibition TWO (“DVA”) presents a selection of works by artist Renata Edlmanová and sculptor Jasan Zoubek. Although the two artists work with different materials – Renata with textiles, Jasan with stone and glued paper – they have something in common: a sense of order, perseverance in their work and a desire for perfection. Renata Edlmanová presents her latest artquilts, in which she uses fabrics, threads and a sewing machine to express a mood, a story or a portrait. In this medium, she has developed her own distinctive handwriting, with which she can surprise. Jasan Zoubek has always transformed personal and natural experience into his drawings, sculptures and objects. At White Gallery, he is showing three pairs of his earlier works: glued objects called Two (“Dva”), reliefs that are both traces and images of natural processes, and granite sculptures that refere to his large-scale stone works.
